We WON a photo shoot with Blue Candy Photography at a fundraiser for The Viewfinder Project.
Stacy is also the author of a great book called Mamarazzi.

We had our family photos taken and this was the one she posted on her Facebook page as a sneak preview of the shoot. Keep in mind, it was 105 heat index at the time!

Before the photo shoot, Stacy requested I email her a short summary of kids' names and ages, as well as a few things about each person (interests, personality traits, etc)
Here's what I emailed her:
Hi Stacy,
I don't know how much time you have...but I keep a blog that is a pretty good representation of who we all are:

http://jandmschmidt.blogspot.com/
The blog is used in place of baby books for my kids - I just print out the blog each year into books instead!
But just a quick overview:
Joe (my husband) is an amazing father who sings barbershop with a quartet and a chorus. He's athletic and was a collegiate basketball player. He's an electrical engineer, he's very handy and overall just an amazing man.
I am the more social, extroverted one. I love being a mom. If I am going to participate in something, I will probably volunteer to serve, if not head up the whole endeavor. I value my family and work very hard to "capture" memories of and for our children (especially through my blog).
Joey, who's 6 and just finished K at the Oaks is our brain of the family. He's a gifted piano player, loves to read and enjoys being "Alex" of Jeopardy and just makes up categories and questions for us to answer (at the dinner table, while riding in the car, and most evenings after dinner). He's hesitant to take risks (chooses to walk vs. ride his bike on family walks), follows rules and obeys authority (well, not me, but everyone else!). He loves books, technology (computer, other people's wii), and musical instruments.
Morgan, is 4 and a half. She is our tactile learner - she wears the prettiest of dresses while digging in the sand box...finds mud and takes her shoes off...and prefers her fingers over a brush when painting...she is passionate, caring, maternal and very opinionated. (She is going to be a great leader one day, but for now, she's gonna do what she wants to do and make sure you want to do it too!). She loves dolls, dress up and adventuring outside (barefoot).
Jameson is 2. He is our deep tihnker. He is a "late talker" but he definitely still communicates just fine. He is a servant - he is very aware of what others need (he'll go get a bandaid from the drawer if he hears his sister cry or give everyone else a cookie before he eats his own). On the other hand, he is a bulldozer. He holds his own against his 6 yr old brother and will definitely be the athlete of the family. He loves trucks, blocks and playing in the sandbox.
Jackson is 8 months old. He is sitting up well and is a happy little boy. He smiles all the time and loves his siblings. He sits quietly and watches the action around him, but if he wants to be held, he let's you know. He's getting really close to crawling too - so I am thankful we are doing this tomorrow!
*He has the cutest belly button I have ever seen :)
Hope that helps!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for doing this for us!

If you would have asked me last night how it went, I would have told you she didn't get a thing of all 4 kids or all 6 of us. I am confident she got lots of great individual shots of the kids...but looking at the one she posted today, I am extremely hopeful! We'll see in a few weeks!
Joe, Megan, Joey, Morgan, Jameson and Baby Jackson!
