Happy 2015!

Well, 2015 has began and I can already tell this blog is going to be a tough thing to keep up with! Luckily, I only have one source for all photos presently - MY PHONE! So, as I take the time to upload the photos to the computer from off of my phone, THEN I will be able to take a minute and upload to this blog. The tricky part is finding the time! (It's nearly March as I write this!) I barely even remember my New Years Resolutions and we are already well underway into the Lent fasting season that in years past I have spent great time documenting both on here... This may just mean that this blog (and then book) will be transitioning mainly into a photo album of sorts...not as many stories, not as much typing, and instead just a place to remember and capture moments as they quickly pass by...how quickly indeed. We begin these photos even before the New Year, as the blog book was created mid-December...so here's a few photos of the rest of December:

Joe's IMPA Christmas Party

ECC gives us this cute plate each Christmas from our 3 year old preschooler....kind of neat to see all 4 kids plates...how time flies.

The bigs and Bammie and I went to see Rejoice!  A free Christmas Concert of Butler University Music majors (both voice and instrument) - it's a great, festive performance we try to attend every December.

We delivered our letters to Santa - there is a big North Pole Mailbox on Monument Circle each December and the kids dropped their letters in!

Another Winter tradition is Christmas at the Zoo - you go at night and the Zoo is FILLED with Christmas lights - it's awesome.

ECC has a Christmas Concert and Jackson and his 3s class sang "Go Tell It On The Mountain" - he did a great job!

Joey was in a special Lower School Choir this fall and they performed at Christmas Chapel.  The Choir practiced on Fridays during Recess - look at all those kids who chose to join Mrs. Fisher for 3 months to learn these special songs instead of going out for recess!  Joey loved it.

The Schmidt Christmas Card for 2014

The Oaks Academy also had a Christmas performance - at Shortridge HS Auditorium - it was amazing!

Breakfast with Santa at the Rivi

Grandma Young got the kids personalized towels for Christmas (they got them early because we were going to take them with us to our special Christmas tradition)....

GREAT WOLF LODGE!!!  (instead of Christmas gifts from we give our kids this "experience")
It's SO MUCH FUN!

Gingerbread house building with the Hulens

Gram Young came to town for Christmas this year and so our gift to her was to go see "The Christmas Carol" at the IRT.  The bigs joined Gram and I.  It was a great performance.

Gram Young also helped us decorate Christmas Cookies while she visited.

Christmas Eve (at Tarkington Tower)

Christmas Day

Joey's great friend Moses was visiting from South Carolina.  They were classmates in second grade and every time their family comes back to Indiana, they always make time to see Joey.

His little sister Keturah and Morgan have become great friends too.

HAPPY 8th BIRTHDAY MORGAN!

Joey got an expander (which is WAY better than the alternative of the more expensive - braces)

Morgan's Pottery Birthday Party with Mrs. Cornelious

The party ended at Graeters...yummy ice cream - even in December!
