NEW ROOF - and more to come!

So...we are VERY under construction at our home. We aren't even able to live there right now - but...it's very exciting what is to come!

By the end of this week:
all brick and siding will be done, gutters, garage door - everything outside!

By the end of this month:
new kitchen (cabinets in and appliances functioning!)
finished stairway
liveable upstairs and downstairs

Joe is working on this project every waking moment he is not at work...he is so talented. (He's doing all drywall, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and cabinet hanging - in his spare time!)

We are so thankful for the hospitality the Jacksons are showing us while we take over their two spare bedrooms.

We can't wait for YOU to come see the finished product (although it will remain a "work in progress" for a few years!)

EASTER PHOTOS!

We had a wonderful Easter - we woke up to a basket of goodies for each of the kids - Joey got a plastic fishing pole and toy microphone, Morgan got a toy stroller! The jelly beans, Cadberry eggs and mini reesey cups have mysteriously dwindled the last few days...but the peeps were ALL theirs!

We went to church and then went to "Bammy & Bampy's" House to enjoy a wonderful meal with the grandparents, Dumas crew, & Aunt Janna.

Joey is turning 3 on April 4th. Morgan is about to be 15 months on March 29th.
Joey is very fun, loves puzzles and trains and sings ALL the time. Oh and I have mentioned POTTY TRAINED!
Morgan is walking, repeating words and smiles ALL the time.
This is such a fun season!

UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!!!

Well, it's a very exciting (and dusty) time at the Schmidt House.

We are well underway with the construction of our addition.
It has been such a long time coming!
We are living upstairs while the downstairs and outside of our house are very much demolished! I have attached a few pictures of the process for the addition...the kitchen photos will follow when there is more exciting photos to add...presently - we have no "kitchen". We have a working frig, a sink with running water, a microwave and a stove that only bakes. (No pasta for us for a while - we have no stove tops!) We have to plug and unplug what we want to use at the time...it's quite an interesting journey! But I wouldn't change a thing...this journey ends with a new kitchen! (oh, and garage too!)
