July, August and September Fun

What a fourth of July it was!  Ugh!
Although it was super fun to be at the lake with Aunt Cat and Uncle Jerry, there was an accident where Morgan had to go to the emergency room.  She was accidentally hit in the eye by a tennis ball (meant to go into the lake for the dog to retrieve).  It was a LONG day for Joe (he went with her, while I stayed at the lake house with the kids).  It all turned out ok.
I brought my first homemade and home grown rhubarb pit - to become a 4th of July tradition!

Here are some fun summer photos from the Rivi - a place we frequented this summer.  We live about a half a mile a way, so we were there almost daily.  The kids took swim lessons and the Bigs took tennis lessons.
It's exactly what summer is all about!
We even took the Hulen's to Luau!

We also joined the Hulen crew for a fun time seeing Stasia Demos Mills perform at a park in Carmel.
The kids saw a few of their friends too!

Joe and I have gone on a trip to Marblehead, Ohio every Labor Day for the last 4 years. We go with Joe's quartet, Rip Chord. It's a wonderful time of fun with the guys and their wives and our kids enjoy time with Mo, Bubba and Ry Ry in Michigan.

Here are a handful of photos of all the kids throughout the last few weeks of summer like weather.
This is a spot we often go after (or during) Joey's piano lessons.

This is at the IMA 100 acres.

We had a great time visiting with our cousins, the Knox's, at Conner Prairie, while they were in town visiting Aunt Cat & Uncle Jerry.

We also enjoyed the Children's Museum.

My dear friends Amy and Emily enjoying our annual trip to the Penrod Festival (KID free!)

JJ had the "Best Day Ever" when we stopped for a cookie at the Illinois Street Emporium for a cookie and we got to MEET Police Officers and saw a Fire Truck depart from the Fire Station.

My dear friends and I went to see Monkey Puzzle in Bloomington, later in September - for another fun time together.
