We hesitated to go, but we had this trip planned and paid for before my Dad went into the hospital. We felt he was progressing well and it was safe to go. (we were gone 5 days) And honestly, the get away was exactly what WE needed. This man took over, held down the fort, cared for our children, cared for me, loved us all well, loved my Dad well, gave and sacrificed and put everyone else first so we could get through this tough period of time with my Dad in the hospital.
This trip was for him, for us, and it was good.
(we especially love that we did this with our dear friends the Youtzy's)
