March 2018

We hesitated to go, but we had this trip planned and paid for before my Dad went into the hospital.  We felt he was progressing well and it was safe to go.  (we were gone 5 days) And honestly, the get away was exactly what WE needed.  This man took over, held down the fort, cared for our children, cared for me, loved us all well, loved my Dad well, gave and sacrificed and put everyone else first so we could get through this tough period of time with my Dad in the hospital.
This trip was for him, for us, and it was good.
(we especially love that we did this with our dear friends the Youtzy's)

March 13th was PI Night (get it? 3.14) - a math night at the Oaks

Morgan's friends all went to see Wrinkle in Time together - and we dressed up as characters in the movie  :)

Bubba is progressing well - the kids play cards with him to keep him thinking and problem solving

Joey was in the Oaks Shakespeare Club - they performed Twelfth Night

At the Patriotic Speech Night at the Oaks, Morgan recited the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere - it was the longest of all recitations lasting over 5 minutes! (She nailed it!)

1st grade Field Trip to the Children's Museum

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Seventh Degree, Joe's quartet was less than a point shy of qualifying for Internationals!  (maybe next year!)
