BTP Camping 2013
Well, this is one to remember. Our camper was already pretty close to dead upon our departure to head to Paynetown State Park in Bloomington. This is an annual camping trip with Joe's barbershop folks. Many people from the Cardinal District load up their families and camp for the weekend and spend most of the time together - singing, playing games, eating and just having fun.
We were a little concerned upon loading up our camper because on our previous camping trip to Holiday World, it started to show signs of exhaustion....well, now, it's dead.
As were were trying to put up the camper that first night, the end would not stay stable, and ultimately, it just collapsed. That was bad.
Luckily for us, the Griggs family happened to have an extra 10 man tent - THANK GOD!
I have grown to LOVE camping this summer - but I now know, I don't like sleeping in a tent.
Oh well.
We still had a great time, and now we need to figure out what to do with our camper - fix it, trade it in...not sure.
Highlights of the weekend:
Beautiful weather
Playing and swimming at the beach
Corn Hole
Joe winning the closest to the pin - golf - pitching game
Joey winning Novice Award with his quartet
It was all in all a great weekend!
