Well, I did the math, this was our 8th year of going to the state fair - at the CRACK of dawn - to go see the hot air balloon race. Some years it's been fantastic, other years it has been a total bummer (like the balloons don't even lift off)...this year looked as though it was going to be a bad one, and then the skies opened the clouds cleared and ALL the balloons raced! Although we didn't hit everything we usually visit - we still had a fantastic time.
There are just some things that must be done every year:

Putt Putt (while eating chocolate ice cream from the Dairy Barn)
Visiting the DNR fish tanks (it's air conditioned!)
Visit the animal barns
Good times, great day.
